Best New Canadian Course 1994 – Golf Digest

"...built on the island's characteristic rust-red clay...McBroom has kept a linksy feel throughout by sculpting and molding the fairways into pleasing shapes" – John Barton, Golf Digest

An unforgettable ocean-side course, The Links at Crowbush Cove transformed Prince Edward Island into a golf destination in the early 1990s and shifted Tom McBroom's design career into high gear. As the first destination resort course built in Atlantic Canada, Crowbush Cove achieved instant acclaim upon opening in 1993 and kick-started a decade long course-building boom on the picturesque island. McBroom delicately balanced the protected coastal sand dunes, saltwater marshes and natural habitat with a brawny design that plays differently every day due to the ever-present Atlantic winds. Crowbush is a breathtaking mix of rolling fairways, undulating greens, coastal marshland and links holes that has been a fixture in Canada's Top 10 since it opened. Tough but fair, Crowbush is a complete test of golf particularly when the wind blows. Many of the world's top players have ventured to P.E.I. to give it a go. Crowbush played host to the Skins Game in 1998 featuring Mike Weir, Fred Couples, John Daly and Mark O'Meara.
