Fraserview is the jewel of the Vancouver Park Board's trio of municipally operated golf clubs. Originally laid out by A.V. Macan, who designed Shaughnessy and Marine Drive member courses in Vancouver, McBroom totally revamped Fraserview in 1998 to bring it up to modern, championship quality. Set among spectacular stands of giant Douglas firs and hemlocks overlooking the Fraser Delta, Fraserview is one of the most successful city-owned clubs in Canada, generating some 75,000 rounds of golf annually. McBroom made several routing changes to the original design adding length, exciting strategies and shot values. Inspired by Macan's best works on the West Coast, McBroom developed a soft but artful bunkering motif..
