Cajoled and sculpted from relatively flat property, Pointe West demonstrates Tom McBroom's ability to create an aesthetic and challenging test of golf from any kind of canvas. From a mix of open farmland and forest, McBroom routed this 6,700-yard course with an eye to providing a sporty and elegant layout. Fescue roughs and rhythmic undulations typify the perfectly conditioned and rolling fairways, while the greens are guarded by deep-faced bunkers. The putting surfaces are superb tests of skill and creativity with cunningly placed swales, hollows, ridges and run-offs. Pointe West is widely recognized as one of the top clubs in the Southwestern Ontario region.
