It is rare to find two courses built on the same property that offer two entirely different experiences. Tom McBroom accomplished the feat with the SideWinder and CopperHead courses at 36-hole RattleSnake Point. While CopperHead has a parkland theme, SideWinder presents a links-style experience with firm fairways and greens receptive to running shots. With fairways and bunkers framed by long fescue grasses, SideWinder meanders through natural valleys and is peppered with wetlands that come into play on several approach shots. Two difficult par 3s in the final six holes and the well-bunkered par 5 18th combine for one of McBroom's finest closing stretches.
